There have been a number of celebrity scandals all over but there are some of ’em which can never be forgotten so here are “10 Most Shocking Celebrity Scandals Of All Time”!
10. WACKO JACKO
Michael Jackson led an unusual life. He was accused of many celebrity scandals. A child star from the age of five, his weird and not-so-wonderful life seemed to lurch from scandal to scandal in the following years. He was plagued by allegations of child abuse throughout his life, despite being found not guilty. Who can forget the lengthy court battles that captivated the entire world! Jackson also faced criticism over the way he was bringing up his children, especially when he dangled baby Blanket from a hotel balcony above a crowd of press photographers. Even his tragic death was surrounded by scandal, with his personal doctor serving a two-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter, after admitting to providing the singer with prescription medication.
Hollywood hearts were broken when golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston announced that they were splitting, and the scandal only got worse when it was revealed that Brad was leaving Jen for another woman – Angelina Jolie. Everyone had a point of view on this particular issue, with t-shirts emblazoned with “Team Jennifer” and “Team Angelina” selling like hotcakes (although the former did seem to out-sell the latter). Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie went on to become one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples, earning the nickname “Brangelina.” But now even that fairy tale has come to an end, with the pair announcing in 2016 that they were getting a divorce.
8. THAT’S MY CHILD
Arnold Schwarzenegger shocked fans when it was revealed that he had an affair with housekeeper Mildred Baena while married to Maria Shriver. They hired Baena sometime in the early 90s and in 1997 she became pregnant with Schwarzenegger’s baby. Schwarzenegger managed to do two terms in office as governor of California without anyone exposing his misconduct, but then in 2011, after he left office, the couple went to a counselling session. “The minute we sat down, the therapist turned to me and said, ‘Maria wanted to come here today and to ask about a child – whether you fathered a child with your housekeeper Mildred,’” Schwarzenegger writes in his book. “I told the therapist, ‘It’s true.’”
Not all scandals have happy endings. On April 1, 1984, Marvin Gaye Sr. shot and killed his son, ‘Let’s Get it On’ singer Marvin Gaye. After struggling with substance abuse and depression, he moved into his parents’ house in the early 80s. He and his father often got into physical confrontations, and after one such fight, Gaye Sr. shot his son. He claimed it was in self-defence but was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Kate Moss was exposed by a tabloid. In 2005 The Daily Mirror printed photos of the model using cocaine at a London studio where her then-boyfriend Pete Doherty was recording an album. While she initially lost some modelling contracts, she has now made a full comeback and reportedly makes more than ever.
5. GOOD SAMARITAN OR JOHN?
In May 1997 Eddie Murphy was driving on Santa Monica Blvd. when police pulled him over and discovered he was with a transgender prostitute. “This,” Murphy told PEOPLE, “is an act of kindness that got turned into a f**king horror show.” Murphy claimed he was suffering from insomnia when he went out to get something to read. “I saw this Hawaiian-looking woman and said, ‘What are you doing out here?’ She said, ‘I’m working,’” the comedian said. He says he offered Atisone Seiuli, 20, a ride home. “I said, ‘You shouldn’t be doing that [soliciting].’ And badda-bing…I’m never giving anyone a lift again.” However, reports claim that when they were stopped by police they had already driven past Seiuli’s home. So, good Samaritan or John?
4. THE 42nd PRESIDENT
“I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
With those words, President Clinton didn’t just dig himself a hole, he stole a backhoe, dug a really deep hole, drove the backhoe into the hole, wired the backhoe with explosives and blew it up. Strenuously denying his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky at a January press conference, Clinton was later impeached by the House of Representatives for lying about the matter under oath.
3. KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY
Writer, actor, director and a popular celebrity, Woody Allen, was involved in one of Hollywood’s most shocking scandals of recent years when it was revealed that he had been having an affair with Soon-Yi Previn, the adopted daughter of his then-wife Mia Farrow. Farrow discovered the affair when she found naked photos of Soon-Yi among Allen’s possessions. Most of the gossip columnists didn’t give the relationship between Allen and Soon-Yi much chance of surviving, given their 35-year age difference. But the couple defied convention, and married in 1993, adopting two children soon afterward. They are still together today.
2. STARLET SCANDAL
Hollywood starlet Lana Turner was involved in one of the most shocking scandals of the 1950s. Turner was in a relationship with a volatile mobster called Johnny Stompanato. During one particularly violent confrontation between the couple, Stompanato was killed – stabbed several times with a kitchen knife. When the cops arrived, Turner’s 14-year-old daughter told them that she had stabbed the crook in a bid to protect her mother. The trial was a media circus, especially when Lana herself took the stand, and the killing was eventually ruled to be justifiable homicide.
1. THE WWE SEX TAPE BELT
This is probably the biggest scandal of 2017 when much like the diseased ooze coming from her banged out lady cave, WWE Diva Paige’s sex tape videos are continuously leaking to the Web.
